Seagate, the high player and my fav  in Memory drives, has launched its latest 1 Terabyte (TB) capacity hard drives ‘Barracuda ES.2’ and ‘Barracuda 7200.11’ in India.

Vista partitioning?

We get a default tool with vista but, irony is that its not user friendly as many MS pdts claim themselves.. ok lets chk whether it works..

I have one primary and one more logical drive. I am able to shrink only the logical, while am not able to do any nonsense with the primary even though i hav loads of GBs left.

This pushed me to chk for the diskpart tool which told me the same thing in the command line.. nothing works .. Kind of bugd now.  Thought abt formatting and re-installing the xp prof and get a linux distro goin, but tat too is not possible since I have organised my data perfectly here so re-organising them is simply a pain in … :-X

Already I disable all those flashy stuff so tat i can save some memory, other than tweaking registry which am very weak since it gives some junk results most of the time i tried.

Refrained from formatting, since After getting this laptop, jus was thinking let me see how long am able to run along with vista home basic edition.

I don like this, except for the ease of operation and I can easily tell my parents something, instead of showing them a xfce stuff. No intention to play with partitions since I have really gud data oraganised properly (atleast to me) ..

Its a movie starring Aarya and Pooja .. nothign great to write.. jus an auto race story.. story writer would hav been inspired by fast and furious stuff.. but  nothing like tat is seen here.

Kind of wasted both Pooja and Aarya .. would hav done a better movie.

Porting yahoogroups archives to mailman

First step is to collect the complete archive from the yahoo group…

Mail man supports mbox format for importing archives. So we got to get the yahoo msgs into a single .mbox file. Which can be done using the simple perl utility yahoo2mbox 

To hav this working, we need to have perl installed if u are using windows or mac variants.. as I do .. So I installed Active perl and chked by executing perl in command line.. happy things are goin on well till now

Linux Chix Wiki & Mail lists :)

Successfully started off the wiki and mail lists.. all credits goes to the fellow mates there Vid and Runa for taking most of the important steps reg the same..

To ppl who are jus thinking wats Linux or wat Linux chix means? Please chk out this links.. Its a group of a software activists helping in propagating a better side of the software, to be specific

I was quiet – very passive in mail lists.. since I felt some day an year back that I need to know more and was figuring out I was wasting a lot of time jus chking and answering mails from All-Indian lugs, at the end of 2-3 years I found myself no-where jus a mailer for ppl who were lazy to google .. So thought there are others who wil help newbies and  jus felt interested ppl will always learn watever the initial hickups were ..

So linux enthusiasts please join hands with all gals out there.. who love to explore more than the specified boundaries..

Polladhavan – Same stuff.. Dhanush can try something else

Resembles Dhanush’s earlier movies, Sullan, Thiruda Thirudi.. where a carefree youngster from a middle/lower middle class.. having hitches with dad daily.. come up in his life.. same stuff.. different songs.. different movie name and different herione..

But the climax is kind of same too.. One thing I noticed which differs from others pre’s is here hero doesnt go and fight unnecessarily to prove the point that he is the hero… He tries to solve the issue..

So the storyline is something like.. reckless youth whos n love with local girl for years.. tries to own a bike.. and then finally trying to prove he is worth somethign to his mom and dad.. ends up with a petty fight with local ganster’s kin.. Story moves on how the hero kills the gangster and saves his family and get back to normal life..

Songs : Engeyum Eppodhum and Minnalgal Koothadum Mazhaikaalam are notable numbers.. while other songs seem to be added as commercial elements for the movie..

+++ n the movie:

• Strong screenplay
• Dhanush matured acting.. (but he is used to this.. past 2,3 movies same stuff..)
• 2 songs..

— n the movie:

• Heroine Divya and the complete love track.. feel its kind of wasted..
• Dull background..
• Story not ended properly.. we don know wat happened to the love track its ended abruptly

k.. coming to the point… jus thought some airtel/vodafone junk call.. didnt attend it. after few secs again call frm the same number.. now i opened my eye to see that it was a landline number.. ok let me attend..

Other End: Hello Madam can I talk to Archana Madam..???!!

Me: yes madam.. (remember am stil sleeping .. bzzzz!)

Was not aware of the fact that Madhavan penned dialogue for this movie until I read this..

yet to watch this movie.. but it sure should be resembling most of the shankar movies like indian, anniyan in terms of the issue portrayed and old KB movies in terms of life portrayal..As a maddy or sangeetha fan this movie s sure a treat for ppl who like to see ppl act (not jus come and go in various locations like most other so called heros do..)

Its is a remake of the original marathi film Dombivli Fast, but Maddy is sure to add color to the same

How does it feel to sleep early

I usually sleep late.. or can phrase is as early morning..
which may sound bizzaire for proper humans.. never mind.. I jus feel comfortable doin tat.. and often bunked office stating the same reason (not well .. !) would wake up by 11 and jus think for ten mins in bed the pros and cons of goin to office.. finally will end up taking leave…

yesterday for the purpose of research (no better reason i got) slept bit early.. meaning 8PM.. Din think of sleeping at that time actually but fell asleep.. Jus woke up and checked the time it was 4Am n the morning.. Dono wat to do.. not feeling sleepy.. so jus started playing my favourite game

Jus heard dad talking to granny.. so thought would jus peep in with a very high expectation that I might be offered a coffe or horlics.. but appa advised me to get back to sleep..
Came back to my room.. played solitaire 3 more games.. with success % stil under 20 (felt ok since i din loose all the games)

Amma woke up again.. jus went and told hi.. she jus looked and asked.. “Archu, planning to sleep now only..?” I was surprised tat no one n home noticed I slept early .. :-S I replied.. ” Illa ma.. jus woke up..” thinking she wil be offering coffe or tea or atleast water.. she then went to sleep… no reaction..
Felt bad.. wats this.. no respect (this can be compromised) but no cofe, no tea, no horlics.. :’(
Now its 5:41Am, till now no signs of mom or dad being happy with their kid waking up early different frm the previous days.. Should check and wait till 6.. No cofe offered then will jus get back to sleep or watch chutti tv…
